He had probably been abandoned and had found a safe place in a pile of discarded objects.

Once spotted, a Good Samaritan called Stray Rescue of St. Louis and asked for help. The rescuers promised the interlocutor that they would do everything possible to save the dog from his tragic fate. Upon her arrival, Donna, the lead responder, exited her vehicle with her trusted volunteers at her side. At first all she saw was a big pile of rubbish. But when she got closer, she discovered the puppy’s little head peeking out from the pile of rubbish.

The dog, with its innocent face, had probably been thrown away with the garbage itself. How can a dog be considered as useless as an unwanted object? What a pity! Donna, with her loving demeanor and gentle voice, approached the dog and got down to her level. She spoke to him, telling the puppy that she was okay now and that they would help him.

The Pitbull wagged his tail but didn’t move. In fact, it seemed as if he was frozen in his previous life. Donna slipped a leash around his head and tried to coax him out, but the dog didn’t move. Donna continued and also gently tugged on the leash. However, the dog resisted. He had no choice but to pull harder, and in the end it worked. The dog hesitantly approached her, wagging his tail nervously.

It was official! The dog was safe and sound. It was time to go to the rescue center to give him a warm bath, a hearty meal, and some much-needed love. Stray Rescue of St. Louis will look for a permanent home when the Pittie is healthy, both physically and emotionally. We couldn’t be happier about this rescue!
